Update over Wi-Fi

Sign in with your Zent account. Each device downloads the update by itself, no cable needed.

Install with a USB cable

Needed once for devices that still run the old firmware, or to repair a board. Use Chrome or Edge on a computer.

  1. Connect the board (ESP32-C3 or ESP8266) to the computer with a USB cable.
  2. Press Install and pick the board's port (“USB JTAG/serial debug unit” on ESP32-C3, usually “CP2102” or “CH340” on ESP8266). The right firmware is picked for the board.
  3. Keep the cable connected until it says the install is complete. The saved Wi-Fi network is kept. Then unplug the board and plug it back in once.
This browser can't talk to USB devices. Open this page in Chrome or Edge on a computer. USB access needs a secure (https) page.

If the board isn't found, hold its BOOT (or FLASH) button while plugging it in.
